Raffle Donations

 

To complement our capital campaign fundraisers, we're organizing a few raffles this season. If you would like to donate an item of value, please call 979-337-3370.

Clothing, Shoes and Household Goods

 

We welcome your donations of gently worn clothing, shoes and home goods at 307 North Brazos. Our donation box is open 24/7. We cannot accept mattresses, books or obsolete televisions.

Large Furniture and Estates

 

Your large furniture donations are an important part of our ministry. To donate large pieces of furniture or an estate, please contact board member Barbara Donnelly at 281-686-4822.

Bake Desserts or Cater a Fundraiser

 

Bake desserts for 70 as part of our Senior Meals program, or have your church organize a drive-through fundraiser dinner that benefits Burton Bridge Ministry.

Enhanced Food and Feeding Program

 

Food insecure clients within Washington County have access to food items collected by schools, Scouts, and our partner churches, as well as donations from local farmers and restaurateurs. Please bring donations to 601 North Main.

 

December-January — Cleaning products: dish soap, toilet bowl cleaner, spray cleaner with bleach, sponges, cleaning brush, wet wipes, boxes of powdered laundry detergent (we will repackage in baggies and label with washing instructions). 

 

February — Soup and socks (Souper Bowl of Caring)

 

March-April — Diapers and hygiene products

 

May-June — Proteins (peanut butter, nuts, canned meats and other nonperishables)

 

July-August — Shampoo and conditioner

 

September-November — Christmas is always a special time of year for our pantry clients.

 

Please help us build Advent bundles by collecting these premium foods: Jelly, peanut butter, mustard, ketchup, steak sauce, cooking oil, Ranch dressing, coffee and/or creamer, syrup, salt and pepper or seasoning packet (any flavor), sugar or flour, Miracle Whip, BBQ sauce, roll of paper towels, box of Christmas candy or cookies.

Thrivent Financial

 

Qualified persons can direct their Thrivent Choice Dollars® to Bridge Ministry of Burton, Texas each quarter. Or apply for a Thrivent Action Team to help underwrite one of our events throughout the year.

Memory Care Blankets

 

Our community-wide project begins with starter quilts sewn by Jolene Wickel, Anna Finke and Carol Doersom. Volunteers from our partner churches and throughout the community added tactile and colorful embelishments to make these blankets for those who suffer from Alzheimer's or memory loss. Purchase a blanket for a loved one, or underwrite a gift to an area memory care facility.
