BRIDGE MINISTRY OF BURTON, TEXAS

Our mission is to build a bridge between racial, cultural, educational, and economic divisions within the community.

Dear Church friends,

It has been such a joy meeting all of the wonderful volunteers who bring Burton Bridge Ministry to life in this area. I’m looking forward to meeting the rest of you during our Volunteer Appreciation Event on Sunday, November 5. This is a catered event; let me know you’re coming by October 30.

Everybody is invited to the Community Thanksgiving Meal on Sunday, November 19. If you know of a neighbor who is homebound or lacks transportation, please invite them to join you during this wonderful event that focuses on food, fellowship and giving thanks. We are grateful to Citizens State Bank for helping to underwrite the meal.

Ninth Annual Hymn & Beer Fest, sponsored by local area Lutheran Churches, is on Sunday, November 12 from 4-7 p.m. at Brazos Valley Brewing, 206 South Jackson Street in Brenham.

Please continue filling your Advent bundles with condiments or baking goods, depending on whether you’ve selected list one or two. We also are collecting new, unwrapped toys for area children, in partnership with the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots. All toys stay within Washington County and Burton Bridge Ministry distributes to Burton families.

Please share the attached calendar listings and promotional flyers with your church members through your website, worship leaflet and slide presentations.

With gratitude,

Debbie Schroeder, Executive Director
